These certificates are desgined to provide you with a comprehensive grounding in the underlying principles, basic concepts, and terminology related to Project Management.  Courses start year-round and give you multiple options to complete your certificate.  Take one class or the whole series.

How it works:

  • Choose the certificate that is right for you
  • Classes are typically held over 2-3 days from 8:00-4:30pm.
  • Several classes are offered each month.
  • Project Management Essentials is a prerequisite to all other classes, take it and then complete the others as they fit your schedule.

    Each course in the program is based on the principles covered in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) Guide, the standard for Project Management, which is published by the Project Management Institute PMI®.  PMCP courses have been approved by PMI for professional development units.

    Old Certificate Model

    (Old as of 12/31/2011) Students currently on this track will be able to complete this certificate through 12/31/2012.  Students can use any new PMI approved project management class towards their elective requirement.

    The Project Management Certificate Program (PMCP) is 120 hours in length and is comprised of 60 hours of required core courses to provide a solid grounding in managing projects and an additional 60 hours of electives students select from a menu of offerings to allow them to customize their certification to meet their particular needs and interests.
